Appointments to the Board of Directors 2011-2012

Montreal, June 7, 2011 – Gathered at the annual general meeting last Thursday in Montreal, members of the Association des ingénieurs-conseils du Québec (AICQ) have elected their representatives on the Board of Directors 2011 – 2012.

The new President of the Council is Mr. Luc Vermette, Eng., President and CEO of Johnston-Vermette. Member of the Board for four years, Mr. Vermette specializes in the realization of projects in the industrial sectors and energy sectors; he also intends to put forward in its mandate to the Presidency of the Council of the AICQ.

Founded in 1974, the Association des ingénieurs-conseils du Québec (AICQ) represents 46 engineering firms, employing more than 22,000 people in all regions of Quebec, or 95% of the workforce in this sector of activity. The AICQ is promoting best business practices and develops mechanisms to contribute to the evolution of the Quebecer consulting engineering. The Association includes firms of all sizes, offering a wide range of professional services, from environmental studies to commissioning, passing through the design, preparation of the drawings and specifications, and supervision of construction work.
